Match rules, information, fixtures etc. 2023-2024
Rules
All anglers must be booked in for any OAC match at least 24 hours prior to match start.
If you are booked in for a match, and you cannot attend, please let the match organiser know at least 24 hours before match start, as there may be other anglers on a waiting list, as matches have limited spaces
No floating baits No pre-baiting prior to the start of any match
During setup, before the whistles blows for the start of a match, the only time your line may enter the water is to either plummet the depth, or clip up your feeder rod for casting should you want/need to.
During an OAC match only 1 rod/pole may be used at any one time. This also means you must not use a second rod/pole to bait up/plummet etc whilst your first rod/pole is in the water.
If you are unsure of your peg boundaries (where you can cast to etc), please discuss this with the anglers either side of you before the match starts. This should ensure that there are no problems during the match.
During matches on OAC waters, 2 keepnets must be used at all times, one for silverfish and one for carp. No more than approximately 60lb of fish per keepnet, if you think you have approximately 60lb in your carp, or silverfish keepnet (sometimes this can happen), a third keepnet will need to be used.
Net rules & limits may be different at away venues, you will be notified of this.
Anyone seen or heard to be causing any problems to other anglers or members of the public, or breaking any match & club rules may be disqualified and ask to leave.
